This page includes the policies, codes and standards which must be followed on all buildings and grounds projects at UIC as well as guidelines to inform the design of office and learning spaces.

These approved policies and associated procedures are non-academic and university-level.

PSPM provides oversight of the design of facilities, grounds, and signage, and coordination of exterior art and historic preservation to ensures that new construction and renovation work enhances the physical campus and adheres to the campus master plan and design standards.

PSPM oversees the construction codes, building and CAD standards which apply to all university renovation and construction projects to ensure to ensure they are in alignment with State laws and University policies, standards, and goals.
