Green Team
UIC's Green Teams work with their department, building, or unit to address sustainability issues - especially UIC's Zero Waste Climate Commitment goal. Green teams meet regularly to set goals in waste reduction, purchasing and recycling. The teams include administration and staff with roles in site operations, HR and marketing as well as UIC faculty, staff and student change agents.
When Green Teams implement changes at the workplace level, they also educate their peers. If you’re passionate about recycling or if you’ve ever organized staff volunteer days or food drives, you could be part of a Green Team. Everyone is welcome and invited to be part of these innovative groups.
